This week, the Second Graders made little signs out of puzzle pieces that said, "Choose God and stay away from evil." They did a great job working together to put the pieces together. It was a great learning experience for them.
We had some free time Friday afternoon so the boys and girls decided to play with the Legos, play on the Ipads, and do a little arts and crafts. It was a great time to have some fun with their friends!
Ethan and Karol finished their trees and they look awesome! Great work boys!!
This week we went on a field trip to the Brookfield Zoo. The children saw many animals including monkeys, giraffes, bears, and turtles. Although it was a hot day, the children still had a fun time and learned a lot about the animals.
This week, the Second Graders had art class with Mrs. Weiner. They had fun making masks out of paper plates, tissue paper, construction paper, and so much more!! Art class is always so much fun with Mrs. Weiner!
In math, we used the Smartboard to subtract. We were able to check our subtraction with addition problems.
In reading, the students read a story called Fighting the Fire. After we read it, we talked about the main idea of the story. They are doing great with their oral reading!!
The students worked together to write a paragraph about something they did. They had to use complete sentences, capital letters, and punctuation marks.
This week we went outside with our prayer partners and did some studying outside. It was a beautiful day and we were able to get to know our prayer partners better. Later on in the week we made wreaths out of leaves. The week was full of fun activities!
