This week, the children used their fidget spinners to predict the outcome of where the spinner would land in math. First, they had to look at the colors. Then, they spun the spinner to see if their outcomes were correct. It was a fun math lesson for everyone!
On Friday, we did an art project with toilet paper rolls. The children were able to make whatever they wanted to with them. Some children made animals, some made binoculars, and some just made a design on them. All of the children were very creative with their projects!
Tuesday night was the Spring Musical. Many Second Graders showed up to sing their song, nice and loud, to the family and friends that came to hear them. They did an excellent job and sounded amazing!!
Earlier in the week, the Second Graders made presents for their mothers for Mother's Day. They enjoyed making hearts for them and writing personal cards to give to their moms on Sunday.
Wednesday was the May Crowning. The Second Graders participated by bringing up a flowers to Mary in their Communion outfits. They also did a blessing for their moms. It was a wonderful mass.
Saturday was the walk-a-thon!! The weather was beautiful and many people showed up to support the school. Renata, Sophia F., Isabel, and Sophia H. were there to represent the Second Grade class!! Great work on Saturday, girls!!
This week, this children had art class with Mrs. Wiener. They love it when she comes because she brings out the best in them and lets them be as creative as they want to be!
Friday was Teacher for a Day. The eighth graders had to experience how it was to teach in a classroom. The second grade teacher was Mr. Anthony Calistro. He showed them how to write in cursive, he played a fun math game on the Smartboard, and he also did some art! It was a fun day for the second graders! They were sad to see him go. Great job, eighth graders!
Last week, our prayer partners had a party for the Second Graders to celebrate their First Communion. They had donuts and juice and talked about how excited they were to make their First Communion.

First Communion is finally here!! The children were so excited! The girls looked so beautiful and the boys were so handsome! They were ready to receive Jesus in the form of bread and wine and they were so happy!
